Kiev gave me the shits for a while but I'm going to miss it here as soon as I'm gone.  Always something interesting on the menu. And if, as is usual, you've had a litre of beer by mid afternoon, of course the place will look good.

Even this church has three beer tents outside in case you need a few beers before praying.

I made another attempt to see the Bulgakov Museum... but they were closed.  I'll have to leave it for next trip...

They do have some pretty nice footpath cafés.  This one was particularly pleasant, quite cheap and with a good view of the passing foot traffic... who needs Paris???

Met up with an American and his French mates. They're all staying in my hotel and I helped them out with a language problem the day before.

In the evening they wanted to go to a club. I had a bad feeling as soon as I walked in. Seemed familiar. One of the French blokes bought a bottle of champagne and we immediately got a table right next to the dance floor.  One of the girls on the next table helped herself to our vodka and poured the American an orange juice sized shot.  Then clinked glasses to get him to drink it.  You don't do that unless you want the bloke to either throw-up (and no-one ever wants that as it could be over you) or spend money. Two of them did throw up. One where he was sitting.

Even the flavoured tobacco water pipe in this place was really expensive.
