I must say it's a very cramped bus for an 18 hour trip. It's horrible in fact.
My gps is suddenly working again. We're 799 km from Vienna - as the crow flies and our speed has maxed out at 80 km/hour so this is going to take a while.
I enjoyed the UK and Rotterdam. It would have been nice to explore the neighbouring towns a bit though.
I was surprised to get to speak Dutch so much. I still think it's because there are so many foreigners in Rotterdam that nowadays they're used to speaking with people that don't speak perfect Dutch.
Even at the railway station where I spoke German because I didn't want to get things wrong, the woman at the ticket counter still replied in Dutch(but nice and slooow).
Now in Germany and it's pouring with rain and because of traffic flow problems we've slowed to almost a stand-still. I hope they've allowed for this as it looks like we'll be hours late. Train-travel certailyn has an allure to it that bus travel will never have.
In Austria we had to change to the train. There were another two Esperantists on the bus and luckily they were organised enough to have info on where the train left from. I was very happy to have them with me as we worked out how to get to the train station. On the other hand they were probably just as happy to have me to help them.
A short wait in Vienna then train to Sopron in Hungary where we change for our last stop - Szombathely.
