Arrived in Antibes and Patrick our exchange was there to meet us. Also assisted in getting the rental returned at Antibes railway station where Avis had their own carpark BUT no office or any sign on what to do with keys etc. Finally discovered through a phone call, "Oh, just leave the keys in the ticket office of the station or with one of the platform attendants....." Would have been easier if we had known in advance. Never mind, such are the joys of travel.
We then did get a shock when Patrick advised that because his wife had changed jobs they were not able to exchange as planned, she has no holidays available. The exchange was a special treat for her from Patrick, Patricia has always wanted to come to New Zealand. However we still had to stay and could he make a reservation for the following year. Naturally we agreed, would have anyway, he is a lovely guy.

Di and Patrick Antibes "Car Park"
More on Antibes in future blogs as we have already discovered what a magnificent interesting part of France we have arrived in. However a photo of Di and Patrick is attached. This is taken in our car park (and boat park). Yes we park in the Marina and it is about 200 meters from our home. The nearest restaurant and watering holes (including an Irish Pub, a Colonial Pub (mainly South African), a British Pub, are establishments we have to walk past between carpark and house. This place is going to be hell. Very well set up for the crews and owners of the many many yachts (sailing and other) of all sizes, that are in residence in the harbour. Styles of pubs and restaurants cater for all who may be passing through from the multi billionaires to their Kiwi crew members. Yes they are all here!

Wish we were there!
I am trying to keep my tstae buds in check after reading your last two postings!
Sounds as if you are getting plenty of exercise to work off the pounds from the great food.
Travel well.
