Weekly summary

Another week down - what have we done this soooo much

Started last Saturday night with dinner with Mike and Kim Weill at Hugos.  Great food and great company, a very enjoyable night

Sunday started with a great brekky at Galleria in a place called White Oak Cafe - part of Westin Hotel - it was nice to get a healthy granola, yoghurt and berries.  We then had a guided tour of Houston with Zhanna.  Seeing sides of Houston I have never seen!!  Makes me realise I could live there.  Then back to Zhanna's for lunch of Russian dumplings with her and Vitaly

Monday we headed off early and off to Miami. Thankfully the last of our early morning flights

The week at Miami has been great to catch up with Alex and Val plus get some lovely warm sun.  Most days we spent a few days working hard at the beach and then off to somewhere different for lunch.  Where do I begin ....there was the Cheescake Factory, there was the Foto de Chao (Brazilian BBQ) where we had soo much food and v v good service, there was Carpaccio at Bal Harbour (disappointed not to see Sophia Loren but Alex had a long line of people asking for his autograph as wife of that famous Valeria woman), the local Brazilian Cafe and then finally the lovely elegant Chez V.   .....and that is just the lunch places.

Dinners were generally lighter but we still managed to get to Tides on South Beach (after a walk past all the high spots - including Mangoes) and Yuca (Cuban place on Lincoln Rd).  Alex secured a great tables at Tides so that we could see the floorshow at the place next door...some v interesting sights

It was great to try sooooo many different "local" foods - not sure if local is the right word but we tasted many different Brazilian dishes.  Was great

We managed a couple of trips to Aventura shops where I managed to get a new pair of crocs and had a great shave with a cut throat razor.  We also went to Bal Harbour shops but didnt see anything in my price range...gorgeous setting and great shops but a bit expensive.

Despite all this hard work we managed a few days in the gym - not sure it worked off all that we put on but at least we tried.

Just to show I have not been completely idle - I managed to negotiate a major network outage and then performed a delicate upgrade the wireless network a Chez V. Speed has been doubled across the entire customer base.

Hospitality was first class...thanks A & V

Now on to New York
