I arrived in Monterrey yesterday at about 11 in the morning. I didn't have any problems getting there, and there were people at the airport waiting for me. We took a bus from the airport to the campus, which was about 20 minutes away.  Once on campus, I went to an auditorium where they gave me a booklet with a bunch of important papers.  After that, I waited in the auditorium for a couple of hours before taking a campus tour.  During the tour, my host father, who works at the university, met up with me. The campus is much better than I thought it would be--and I thought it would be nice. My host family is also cool.  Both of my "parents" work for the school.  They have a 26-year-old son who also lives with us.  I don't have a roommate yet, but I may get one this week. My Spanish has been less than ideal so far.  They speak very quickly, and it is much more difficult to understand men than women. Other than that, everything is great.
