Cesky Krumlov isn't the most accessible place in Czech Republic. To get anywhere you have to go first to Cesky Budejovice. So that's where I went first at 0600. Then at Cesky Budejovice I waited a few hours until the train to Linz, Austria came by. This was an EuroCity train, which means that it's a bit faster than normal. Then when I got to Linz, I had to disembark and quickly get to the Salzburg, Austria EuroCity train. Then when I was in Salzburg, I had to get off and buy tickets to go to Mannheim. It took 12 hours total of travel, but I saved a bit of money by going through Austria since I have a railpass for there. But I took four trains in total.

Mannheim has been fun. I got to meet with Milena both days I was here. We even went to nearby Heidelberg and saw the castle and old town. It was her first time to go there as well. In fact, when we hung out it was a lot of her firsts in Germany. Her first time going to a restaurant, her first time in Heidelberg, there were a few others but I don't remember offhand. It was great to catch up with an old friend back from my second summer of Valleyfair. And she was also a roommate of mine, so we were fairly close back in the day. Now I will be going to Kaarst next where I will meet up with a friend of mine that goes even farther back to my High School days.
