I switched over to Florianópolis because although Praia da Armaįão was just getting good weather, it was literally only a street corner and nothing else. I didnīt like the idea of having to take the bus just to get to a restaurant because all of them at Armaįão closed at about 8 pm. At least within the city, thereīs always a place to eat. The city itself is unspectacular especially considering that itīs so close to all the resorts on the other part of the island. And really, it should be set up like a beach town or a resort, and it kind of is with the tall luxurious real estate and the nice promenade of shopping, but at the same time it felt like a big city with its unassuming eyes.

I started off pretty neutral with the city when I was wandering around, but after going through the centro comercial and then afterwards going to the parks and museum area, I really started to love it. The people were really friendly with me 678 Florianopolis

 . I started taking pictures and some guys stopped so they werenīt in the photo, but of course, I didnīt mind and they complimented my photography. Then an older man told me that if I like photography I should go up to the corner where there were men playing dominos and cards in the park. Then when I started taking those photos, they were nice and didnīt mind me being there. I guess with the beach attitude, these people know how to live and be helpful for any tourists. Whatever it is, itīs something very appreciated from me. At this moment, I donīt know if Iīll stay an extra night or not because itīs going pretty well right now and Iīm not sure if the itinerary should lead me to the small southern coast or quicker to Uruguay. I think I might just go to places tourists donīt regularly hit and just experience things as they are.

And I really want to upload some pictures but not all computers have USB ports or recognize my camera, so I think Iīll burn a disc and upload from the disc instead of the camera because that will be easier. I have about 400 pictures up to now actually, probably about 100 from the cataratas alone.
