On a whim, I decided to go southerly rather than towards Rio. I couldīve gone there again, but I figured the bus ride wouldīve been too long. And I heard Floripaīs beaches were amazing so I ended up going over there. Through some hostel website reviews I came to a hostel that seemed to be good and would have a bit more people for a beach resort type place. Of course, itīs the end of the weekend, itīs winter and therefore no one except a handful of others are here - and theyīre here for surfing. Oh well.

Even though itīs freezing cold, this little beach town always does more fishing than anything else. I think Iīve seen more fishermen than actual non-surfer tourists right now. So I think Iīll head into the city for the next day or two instead of just staying on the beaches. I love being able to sit in a hammock and listen to the waves and smell the sea salt air and read a book, even though itīs so cold. But I think Iīll grow bored if I stay more than a day because this town is basically a church, a few stores, two restaurants and a hostel at the moment. Because of the season, more than half the town is closed. I had a nice little time to myself and got good pictures here, but I think thatīs all I need.
