I've never wanted to go to Pisa. I've always thought it was cheesy to go there. I didn't even choose to go to Pisa this time. Because Ryanair has its closest airport to Bologna there, I had to do it. I've always said that if I ever find myself going to Pisa for some awful reason, I was going to take pictures of people from different angles just so that I have pictures of them looking like fools. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to do in Pisa. And I planned to do that for hours. Maybe make a website and tell people all about the website where I make them a fool. If you do the whole "holding up the tower" pose, you only deserve it. So when I arrived in Pisa, a place I already didn't like, I really didn't have much time before the flight to Paris Beauvais. I only had about 75 minutes of free time before I should check in at the airport. But there's only been one dream of mine for Pisa. I felt I owed myself this opportunity. So I took a bullet and ran to the luggage consignment and hailed a cab to Piazza di Miraculi. Armed with my camera and a sense of humor, I spent the next fifteen minutes taking as many pictures as possible. I didn't get close enough to many people to get the real shot because I really didn't have time to do it, and also when I did try people gave me really nasty looks and stepped away from me. Too bad I don't have extreme zoom.

En route the airport, I met a few neuroscientists from Johns Hopkins that were in Luca for a conference. They were also headed to the airport. The lady was Filipina as well. Well when I got on the bus, I asked if it went to Centrale and kinda just headed to the back. I forgot to pay, but it turns out that no one really pays for the bus in Italy. I felt I was a little bit owed because of the inconvenience in Bologna as well. Well if I ever want to do some neuroscience research, I've got a link now.

At the airport, I had to get the liquids and gels off my handcarry. And the line was already long and people were already behind me. So I just opened my luggage and did some rearranging. So then this older lady just rolls her bag right in front of me. I said excuse me, but she didn't respond. Well at this point, I decided that I had a better idea than trying to communicate with her and get her to go behind everyone else in line. I tried to stand as close as possible to her and stare her down. I had nothing else to do in line either. I have to admit as well that I didn't smell that great because Pisa was hot, I was wearing a sportsjacket, and I had just done an hour rush for taking photos. So I definitely wasn't pleasant to be standing near. She kept looking back at me too and I just stared right at her. The worst part is that she herself even opened up her bag and took out all of her gels and liquids right then. Well she spoke French at the counter, so I doubt I would've even been able to get her to understand me and explain the queue. So I saw her in the terminal and made sure to sit right across from her and keep on staring. The thing was that there was a lot of people standing in between because there was a plane boarding at that moment. But I made sure to make her feel extra uncomfortable. She wasn't able to sit down where she was and she bolted towards the restroom and I didn't see her again. Moral of the story is to not cross me.

Slept on the plane because I had been taking power naps the entire trip back anytime I got a chance. Got to France, slept on the bus, got to metro, slept on the train. Got to the hotel and all was finally good. Back in Paris.
