OK the fighting, yes bloody, but teams and fighters would quit before it got to Rocky like. It is like on TV, once that eye gets cut it is a mess. They are allowed to knee faces in this type of fighting, and it ain't pretty once it is done. I seen a few knock outs - just like on TV
After the first 2 rounds and I was covering my face and jumping around saying oh oh oh, Zack said "Does this blood really bother you mom, you're a nurse" ,well it wasn't the blood ,it was the blows. I took an Ativan and settled down, thanks doc, I found a real thing to use one for.
All in all it was a big show - lights ,music, fighters parading around with their group down the runway to the ring. In one fight both fighters were from the same country and one group had a picture of a friend that had been recently murdered. When they lost, the other team went over and held up the tee shirts for the members of the team that lost. Also when American won his whole team got on their knees , I think to honor the Japanese fighter they just knocked out. Anyway it was respectful and each team showed some kind of thanks to the other.
There was one guy that had kissed some other fighter in the past at the hand shake and the fighter knocked him out before the bell. So he was known as the kisser - and a big deal was made of it - it was funny - loud music, big lips on screens.
Zack loved it, and I found someone from American and asked him to say "Hi" to me, just because he could in English. He did.................
