We took a bus from Bangkok to the coast from where we went to the island of Koh Chang by ferry. The whole operation was supposed to over by 3pm, so having a bit of experience we said maybe 4.30 instead as these things always take a lot longer. Maybe we're just inexperienced or maybe this was one of those days.....after 6pm arriving on the island! Also the promised air conditioned coach had a malfunction with the old AC so we travelled in time honoured sweaty style. Frustrating. Add in a pair of annoying Germans (one of them changed her clothes in the carpark after a soaking in a downpour, unbelievable) and it wasn't my favourite bus journey.
To keep it simple, 6 days on the beach, some heavy rain showers at night, savage sunshine other than that. Rented a moped one day and headed down the coast which convinced Maria that we were at the best beach. Good food, a few drinks here and there.....nice. I won't bore you with anything else.
