Our flight to Miami had a little unexpected excitement with a delay from Delta in our flight to Orlando and connector to Miami. While we made our connector Teresa's large suitcase did not! Fortunately she was clever enough to pack a couple of outfits in her carry-on roller board, whew! We shook it off as best as we could gathered our wits and hopped our transfer to the seaport.
The Celebrity Ecclipse is what I would call a "floating JW Marriott." At over 15 stories with six glass elevators (maybe there were more, if so we didn't see them) with several pools, the Aqua Spa (adult only swim and spa area with solarium), wine cellar club, theater, I could go on. Wow! We were greeted with mimosas upon boarding, definitely a great way to start off. With our bags unloading from the transfer we took the opportunity to grab a bite of lunch from the main cafeteria and look around. Warned that we could "gain ten or more pounds on a cruise" we found the initial portions well placed and very health conscious.
Our dear friend Joe provided us with a celebratory gift - a bottle of champagne and chocolates delivered to our stateroom. Woo hoo! Class act by Joe. That evening we enjoyed dinner in the main dining area with our cruise table mates Harry and Elizabeth, very warm and charming people.
Tomorrow we are at sea and Teresa booked massages at the Aqua Spa. So ready!
