My time in the magical Galapagos Islands is coming to an end only too quickly.

My last activity besides tomorrow's visit to the Charles Darwin Centre was to walk to the top of the 114 metre spatter cone of Bartolome which was reached by a 375 step wooden broad walk from a dock that had marine iguanas lying in our path.

Yes, we saw more penguins as we took the zodiac to and from there.

Some where doing what penguins naturally do.

I left my Olympus uploading the snorkelling photos and wish that I had it to capture the panoramic view from the top. It didn’t matter as it would only show a thin grey line of lava stretching into the distance. At least I got the post card view of the double sandy bays below us.

Finally time to head away and by Chinaman's Hat Is we anchored and had our group farewell dinner which was preceded with us and the crew in their whites toasting us bon voyage and all the best all for the future.
