Where I stayed
Salto do Macuco (Tinamou Drop) (Macuco Safári). On this short tour I had for the first part my own guide. How lucky was I? Partly it was so early in the morning and the tourist had yet to arrive. While drizzling, it added to the rain forest experience. The electric vehicle covered over three kilometers of jungle stopping at the beginning of a 600m broad walk trail that led to the Salto do Macuco with its crystal clear waters that fall from a height of 20m over rocks, forming a tiny lake. We then were join by other tourists and embarked on the inflatable boat and began an exciting thrill seeking adventure as the boat navigated over the canyon’s waters and got very near the huge Garganta do Diabo falls. The highlight was to receive the “wet blessing” from the Three Musketeers Falls.
This is my full set of photos and videos.
So many self portraits but with the boat bouncing along and doing its turns, I didn't know if I got a good picture of myself. Anyway it is a new camera and this feature I am only just started to use. This from someone who doesn't like having his photo being taken as I feel so much more comfortable behind the other side of the lens.
Again, do click onto the short video clips and join me as I get the expected enforced shower or "wet blessing" that felt like thousands of pins injecting my skin from above.
