Another travel day to better forget. It was suppose to be an all day trip out into the country to a fiesta gaucho or a day on a cattle ranch.

The voucher had 9.45 - 10.15 pick up. OK that‘s fine. Come 10.30 I asked the hotel to phone the local distributor. Eventually a private car arrived at 11.50 and took me directly to Estancia Santa Susana by 12.50 just as the rest of the 300+ guests were about to eat.

Vegetarians would have suffered today. The barbecue lunch or asado was more than enough …. And no I did NOT drink all those bottles … just a selection of what we had available.

Needlessly it was a VERY HOT day and thank goodness most of the time we were under shade. Again I will let the pictures do the talking.

Why was I not picked up? I wasn’t even on the bus passengers’ list. I await to hear if ever from the local agent. To cap things off, I was ceremoniously (not) dropped off in the middle of town and told “here is 20 pesos to catch a taxi back to your hotel“. I was not impressed. The bus had another service at 6 pm but I was expecting a hotel to hotel ALL day trip not a day one.

I know how disappointed you would be. Jacqui and I got forgotten in Dallas to be picked up for the Rodeo but at least you got to some of it so remember the good bits. South America sounds a great place to visit.
