Bruceontour again ... this time turn right and head across the Pacific east to South America.

Last year in June I stood at Scarborough Beach in Perth and looked west across the Indian Ocean to Africa. A few weeks later was swimming off Zanzibar Island and looked east back to Australia. Then crossed the African continent and at Swakopmund, Namibia put my foot into the cold Atlantic Ocean and looked west towards South America. On this trip I will take a swim in Brazil and look east back to Africa and hopefully later in my trip dip my toes in the Pacific Ocean and from Chile look west across the Pacific back to New Zealand.

Join me as I explore another 2 new continents and can then really say that I have finally slept on all 7 continents. Yes, that means sleeping down on Antarctica tera firma itself as I am joining up to 20 others who have opted to camp overnight and sleep on the ice or will it be rock ... instead of the comfort and warmth of the GAP's ship MS Expedition with the other 120 or so passengers.

I have also chosen the sea kayaking option with up to 10 others hopefully paddling amongst the ice bergs and be able to see the wild life from water level.

This trip is not to sit behind a computer if I can be out exploring the area that I am in but from time to time I do need to sit down and take stock, reflect plus rest up for the next day!
