Drive down the Pacific started with a first stopover at Carmel, the Noosa like quaint village that once had Dirty Harry as its Mayor. The drive is still incredible even the 3rd time around. Girls got over nervousness of Dad doing the James Bond driving to thoroughly enjoy the scenic route. Bridges, mountains, blue sky, vistas, whales, elephant seals, national parks. Stopped for lunch high up in the sky overlooking the ocean at Ragged Point. Watched the migration of the whales as they blew water into the air just off the Coast.

Afternoon stop to see the hundreds of elephant seals on the beach for the birthing and mating season. Quite the scene with numerous pups in the process of feeding from their mothers.

Drove into Pismo Beach to stay for the night in time to see the last sunset over the ocean for some time. Spectacular and girls were grateful to finally have weather good enough to throw the tops on again. Dinner downtown at Pismo and returned to the hotel which deserved the wraps it got on trip advisor.
