With no ATM's in VV I was relied on finding one when I arrived in LP. I located the only 2 in the town. Neither of which worked with either of my cards. No worries, had plenty of Baht & USD to exchange. Headed straight to Green Discovery Eco Tourism Centre. There I made an on the spot decision to join a 3 day trek & 1 day kayak tour leaving in 2 days. Paid with my last remaining USD. The night market was in full throw when I returned to my guest house to sleep.
Day 23. Explore the ex-Royal capital

Damn it, my only free day in LP and the Grand Palace museum was closed. This was the kind of information that the bible (aka lonely planet) should contain. See photos for the rest of the day
