We stopped in Plzen for the main reason that most people probably stop there - the brewery. Plzen is famous in the beer world for being the birthplace of pilsner beer. So, we went for a night/day and visited the brewery which has a pretty cool tour. They show you the bottling plant, which many brewery tours don't do, and afterwards, they took us down to the (very large) basement maze and served us "fresh", unfiltered beer straight from the giant wooden casks. Pretty cool. Other than that, we just "czeched" out the town square that was having some sort of fair, and ate some delicious sausages and had more of the local beverage, before catching a night bus out of town and into Munich.
