There is a lot to do in Hiroshima. Aside from the history, they have a pro baseball team, The Mazda plant (with the longest assembly line in the world, 7km!) museums, shopping, and a whole lot of other stuff. We opted to miss some of Hiroshima's attractions to take a day trip to Miyajima, a world heritage sight. It is a small island, about ten minutes away from Hiroshima by ferry. The entire place is awesome. They have many shrines, beautiful views, a herd of tame deer, and they also produce 60% of all of Japan's oysters (so eating is good!). It was a great day.
