A few days ago we visited the Hokusai Museum. Hokusai was one of the most famous Japanese artists. He spent the last twenty years of his life perfecting his art in Obuse. There was five exhibits of his art. One of the exhibits was of two Japanese floats, which Hokusai painted the ceilings of. He has four master works: the phoenix, the dragon, and the male and female waves. Photography was not allowed in the museum, but Adam got away with one. (see photos)

Today we cleaned up some ice around the town with some of the Obusedo employees. After that we got busy and did some baking. We made two apple crisps, one for the Watanabe house and one for Sarah and Joe. Next we attempted bread, which turned out not to bad considering the oven. We ended up with one loaf and one very large bun that I like to call the yokozuna bun.
