. After about ten minutes of shouting and pleading and honking and kids climbing on it, the animal finally decided to move, and we continued down the road.
Yesterday (Saturday) I spent the day in San Jose and San Pedro, trying desperately to find an agenda, which I finally found, and I bought myself the cutest reading light for my apartment. My roomate,s boyfriend arrived last night from the U.S., so we spent some time with him, and last night the Natural Ressource and Sustainable Development department threw a party for all of the new students. Great fun was had by all, about 60 people showed up and it was nice to get a chance to see people in a less formal setting.
Today is a study day, I have a paper due tomorrow and about 150 pages of reading, which should be lots of fun. Hope everyone had a great week, I will write again soon!
p.s. I am cheating -- the pictures Im putting up are actually from orientation last week, I promised to take picture of my apartment and I will. My internet should be functional within the next day (thats a whole other story) and when it is uploading pictures will be a bit easier.

An ox had escaped from one of the coffee plantations in El Rodeo, near the university (the use oxes to plough the field) and he proceeded to sit in the middle of the road, blocking the bus, for about ten minutes. Farmers came out and were trying to get him off the road, and someone actually tied a rope to him and tried to pull him off, but apparently and ox is a very strong animal, and if they don't want to move, they don't
