We went in to the city of Osaka for a little shopping one day. Osaka is only about a 25 minute ride from Kobe city on the Rapid line- which makes it a very convenient get-away.
In Osaka we did a full loop around the train station (about a 20 minute walk), not for fun but because I didn't know where I was... Then we looked through endless shops for the 'perfect' jacket for björn and just learned that Japanese clothes are both very expensive and very small....
For a little break in our shopping day we let all inhibitions go and were complete tourists by riding the famous ferris wheel that is built in/on one of the famous shopping areas. From the ferris wheel you get a great view of the city. This wasn't a typical ferris wheel ride though
After our ferris wheel trip we went and explored Yodabashi Camera, the enormous store (with 6-14 stories) of electronic goods. That seemed to take forever and wore up an appetite to go try kaitenzushi. I had to take advantage of björn's visit, he may be my only visitor who will be brave enough to try sushi....

björn enjoys the sites
. Instead of going round and round multiple times at a brisk pace, it went around a single time at a snail's pace. In the beginning I asked björn, "how many times do you think we'll get to go around?" and we agreed that since it was a tourist trap- probably only once- but i said "ooo i hope not!" However after a single loop on that scary contraption and jumping back and forth from seat to seat to take pictures in the small, confined, rocking area, björn asked, "still wanna go around again?" NOPE!
