These are just a few of the things that you're missing by now being here. Consider this an attempt to make everyone realize just how wonderful Kobe is and why you should come visit! ;)
While roaming around in Chinatown on Saturday I snapped a few photos to add to the web site. My intentions of coming to Chinatown were to grab a snack or two to tide me over till dinner. But I ended up running into some other Midwestern JETs that I met in Chicago/Minneapolis and we made plans for the evening.
We ended up going for dinner at an Izakaya (kind of a Japanese version of a Tapas restaurant), running into a groom and his wedding party- enjoying the night without the bride. Us Westerners were quite shocked at the fact that the groom and the entire wedding party were enjoying themselves on the night of the wedding without the bride, who had went back to the hotel early because she was pregnant and not up for staying out all night. Very odd scenario. The groom and best man invited my friends and I to hang out with them but one of the guys in our group persuaded us otherwise. Finally, we went to a Karaoke bar and sang the rest of the night away. We had a window in our room that overlooked the city so we were having fun dancing in front of the window to see if we could attract attention from the folks on the street.

Madonna?? Shania Twain??
What song were you singing?? It looks like you were having fun, much needed after the long week. However, had you knocked the young man down. Or isn't he as tall as you? Was the song in JPN or English. I loved that Karaoke place we went to. MOM
