A group of us went to see the fireworks in Osaka the first weekend that we arrive in Kobe. We can actually get to Osaka from Kobe city faster than we can get from our suburb train station to Kobe City.... odd.

The officials expected the crowd and had the station roped off with additional exits. The crowd was so thick and reminded me of the days when we herded the cows down to the valley while trying not to let them cross the fence. Oh those poor cows....

I have included a few clips of the fireworks for everyone's enjoyment. People seemed amazed last time when I talked about the Yokohama fireworks and while these were not quite as amazing they still had some picture fireworks. No hello-kitty or doraimon but spirals and some sort of cat instead.

Now you can enjoy the fireworks without having to deal with the dusty ground, the hoards of people, or the swelling humidity...
