A pleasant breakfast and a pleasant day as we retraced our steps along the lakes through Lucerne and down into murky Zurich and the airport. We had stopped for a coffee at a nondescript small town off the main road in the mist. An interesting variation on the parking meters. You punch the numbers of your parking space and your rego into the machine and it spits out a ticket which allows you an hour free parking. After that you have to pay and get another ticket to let you through the boom gate.
L was to fly out to Dubai to join her sister and her nephew. After she checked in we bought sandwiches and a beer before seeing her through customs. We really enjoyed her stay with us. But only because I, for two weeks, had a fellow Maccas devotee.
SATURDAY, 30th September
Our neighbour tried to fix the computer again but after an hour, a couple of reboots and exchanging T-com plug ins he gave up. Into the library in Radolphzell to borrow books, CD's and DVD's. The CD's on the whole are recordable, some of which I copied onto the media library on the Acer for the first time. The DVD's were old but they had an English language option. We made the decision to hire a car and drive to Dresden via Vienna and Prague when we left here.
