We were greeted in Dallas by a large CBD, being the business of the south. It reminded us a little of Sydney, minus the harbour.
After getting ourselves slightly lost we eventually made it to Sean, Tim and Branch's apartment near the lively McKinney St. On our first night we went to a bar that had sand volleyball courts and watched Tim and Branch play in their weekly comp. Later we enjoyed some food and corn hole in around the Katy Trail.
The next day we ventured into the CBD and checked out the Dallas Art Museum and the trendy West End area. We then headed to the Famous Sixth Floor museum which is where JFK was assassinated. That night we enjoyed a few drinks on McKinney street with Tim and Sean and a few of Brett's friends.
The next day we went to the movies and a bar called The Bear in the very trendy West Village. We then headed out to dinner, sushi and saki bombs, with more of Brett's friends, before hitting McKinney street once again.
All in all Brett enjoyed catching up with some of his close friends and we were both surprised how fun the city of Dallas could be.
