Very ill today. Found a room and crashed for a while. There is a mcdonalds and a subway here, as well as a million shops selling tons of junk for cheap. I like bartering with these guys its pretty fun. Shopped a bit but mostly just hung out and recovered. Next day we got up and left for the all inclusive for the wedding. Darbys as giddy as a school girl. We showed up and met everyone. It was nice seeing some familiar faces from back home. We partied it up for a while, I fell down the stairs of aunty trudys place Twice! I cut my finger pretty good and bruised my back really bad. Justin and I went swimming at one point as well. Then we went back into playa for the stag party. Very fun, we even had to pay off the policia at one point for something. Next day I was so sick I layed around the room all day watching t.v and ordering room service. The next day the 11 th I was still pretty sick, but at least I managed to leave the room for a while. Went swimming and had a couple drinks at the swim up bar 01 The resort

. Hotel is pretty nice the beach not so much because of the hurricane though. The 12 th is my cousin Dallas and fiance donnas wedding day on the beach. It was very nice, people looked great and everyone showed up, they gave us pineapples filled with pina coladas and there was a donkey present at the party after so I would concider it a success. We went out for a fancy meal and then went to the swing bar. Donna said she was tired so they left early. We have trained stacey (also my cousin) well, none of us could keep up with her, although darby did his best. The next day Richard had to leave early so we said our goodbyes. Jody is so sick its almost not funny. We got a later check out time because of it though. We were getting ready to leave and we couldnīt find the rest of the family to say goodbye. Sorry Maynes. Have a good trip home, it was good to see you, we miss you already, and congrats. We caught a van back to playa found a room and are taking it easy for the night. Tommorow its into the bus and back to belize if everything works out well. So a slight update. After writing this we were wondering around Playa and who do we run into but the mayne family and friends. We sat down to supper and beers with part of the group and then we went to a liquor store and sampled tequila. It's funny how aunty trudy somehow knew about the store with free tequila. I'm not sure but I think the guy even knew her name. We said our goodbyes and then took it easy for the rest of the evening. Next morning we got up and walked to the bus station, which was very close but was the wrong bus station 02 Also the resort

. We got directions to the proper bus station and set off. Once we got there we had a bit of time to wait, and I was hungry so I decided to find something to eat. There behind the magazine rack at the corner was a cart selling some sort of food. It was busy with locals (thats a good sign, usually). I wandered over and tried to order. The guy knew about as much english as I do spanish, which isn't much. I heard the word chicken and steak so I went with the chicken. Chicken what I did not know. I know I ordered three and he said what I thought was 90 pesos but turned out to be 9 pesos. So I got 3 deep fried chicken pocket things for 90 cents. Pretty sweet deal. Wasn't sure if should eat them before a long bus ride but it all worked out for the best. Darby sat with richard and he explained to him about the reptilians that are controling the world. Darby loved it.Other than that not much worth telling on the bus trip to chetumal. We arrived in chetumal and phoned the van that drove us there to pick us up. Once again we had an hour to wait so we went to the little food booths across from the bus station for a bite to eat. One place had 6 tacos for a dollar and the other place had 4 for a dollar, but he says his are better and bigger. They brought out these 4 tacos slightly larger than a toonie, something about as big as cookie with some sort of meat cubed up in it. The hotsauce was some of the spicyest I have encountered, probably to take your mind off the taste and texture of the meat. Connie couldn't finish hers so me and darby ate them too 03 Nice drinks eh.
03 Nice drinks eh.
. Then the van showed up and we loaded in and made a run for the border. Young guy driving was pretty cool. He called his boss and said he could drive us all the way to placencia if we wanted. Cost us 400 american between 5 of us so we did it. He said he knew some guy that would change our money for us and he also knew where we could pick up some smuggled mexican beer. This guy had connections. We ended up changing our money with his boss who kinda screwed us a bit and we bought beliken beer cause it was cheaper and closer then we set off. 4 people drinking beer in a van was rough. Between the beer stops and pee breaks it took us a while to get there 5 hours I think. We got to drive by hattiville prison though.I don't think its a very nice place. We arrived late in placencia and went to the tipsy tuna for a couple. Ran into Barrington and Bismark. Found our place and went to sleep.
