We are heading up to Kentucky but wanted to see the Great Smoky Mountains and The Blue Ridge Parkway. I was looking for a place to stay and came across a real gem. Actually didn't know it at the time but it is a find. Only 20 river front sites and the river is wonderful. Brent has fished and got his boots and flys wet. Yeah.
We are looking up at Cold Mountain. Yes everyone the real Cold Mountain. I was hoping to see Jude Law and Nicole Kidman and Renee Z but no luck hee hee.

What was even more fun was that they have a garden full of all kinds of Vegetables and we were made most welcome to pick what we liked. So we had a feed of beets and beans and turnip and yellow zucihini (sp?) and the same yummy yellow tomatoes we have at Paroa Bay in NZ. We paid a minimal amount to help for pay for seeds next year and hope they do it again.

We drove part of the Blue Ridge parkway very pretty and windy, with lots of tunnels that I am sure we would have stressed about had we the RV on our back. The highest point we got to was 6,000 ft and the road is very steep in places, glad we didn't do it with the fifth wheel.

So if you are in this area around Asheville and Wayneville NC. do try this Riverhouse Acres RV park in just outside Canton NC it is very quaint and peaceful.
