We headed south on route 89 out of Yellowstone and into the Grand Teton National Park http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Teton_National_Park and thru the frontier town of Jackson.
We crossed the state line between Idaho and Wyoming about 6 times and finally crossed into Utah late in the evening.
Toby noticed while going down a hill that the Eagle's brakes were not functioning so we pulled over and tried to figure out what it was. Brent checked inside the Eagle and noticed that the refrigerator was also off and the battery was flat

. We were not happy because we had run the generator that morning to charge the battery. We decided that we would continue to Salt Lake and maybe find an RV dealer there. However 10 minutes later Brent decided that he wanted to buy a new battery for the Eagle right now. We pulled over at a gas station and got one. Once connected the brakes started working and the fridge came on....... problems solved!!We arrived at Barbs house just in time for her getting home from work, we had to stop the traffic in both directions (she lives on a main road) so that Toby could reverse the Eagle up the drive which was very narrow!
The following day we took the Beast for an 80,000 mile service, we bought him with 63,000 on in May. Because of the Death Valley Drama and all the mountains we have been criss-crossing we changed the coolant and the Transmission fluid, the complete service was $250 bargain! What was not going to be a bargain was the fact that the Eagle needed new tyres AGAIN!! The 2 new ones from Sacramento were worn heavily and the front 2 (from Florida) were now completely without tread. After much back and forth between a few tyre companies trying to get an explanation and a recommendation about the tyres we eventually bought some expensive radial tyres, its seems the trailer tyres we have been using were not up to the job of long distance towing...... why were they sold to us then?? Anyway $500 in tyres, $125 for the battery and $250 for a service we had better make it back to Florida without anymore issues!

!And now the fun part, it was great to spend time with Barb we have not seen here for about 5 years, on Saturday we went to the Uinta Mountains and did a 5 mile hike with the her and the dogs (Ollie and Peter). Toby actually quite enjoyed it alot even though he cant remember the last time he walked 5 miles! On Sunday we went to Antelope Island to see the Bison (!?!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antelope_Island and then to the airport to pick up a friend of Barbs. On Monday we headed out to the Golden Spike state park where the first transcontinental railways met coming from east and west. Then on to an art sculpture in the Salt Lake, The Spiral Jetty http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_jetty where Brent and Barb walked out in the Salt Lake and collected salt crystals in the pink water http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Salt_Lake. We then went to Marble Park, a collection of metal sculptures, and played in the sprinklers to wash the salt off our skin. On Tuesday we spent the day in Salt Lake City with Dave and Sharri (and Little Dave their son), Brent's good friends from when he was stationed in the UK, they took us to some of the cool places to hang out there and they did lots of catching up.
We have had a great time in SLC, we spent 7 days there, more time than we have spent in any spot since we left Florida!! So on Wednesday we are east bound to Colorado!
