Monorail to KL Sentral, Ekspress train to airport. Not many people on the flight and only a few that I recognise - Gordon and James, mainly. Arrive back on Christmas Island about 2pm. A beautiful clear approach to the runway, a great view of Settlement on the way in, and a nice smooth landing. Begin the walk from the airport into town but am saved from walking too far when Anne stops to give me a lift.
The Cove is full of yachts - there's 9 of them! Home is the mess I left it in. I put my Australian SIM card back in my phone and after a few initial rejections I manage to get a message from Meryl: open mike night at the Bosun, 6pm.
Wander down to the Golden Bosun tavern and catch up with the gang, listen to chilled acoustic folk songs, enjoy some Redback and watch the sun sink into the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. As incredible as my holiday was, I couldn't ask for anything more right now.

Wow
Gee Bray, have so much enjoyed reading you diary, seeing the pics. What an amazing time it all was. Such contrasts in Countries. You certainly have contacts in some very interesting places. Will have to revisit the diary a few times to soak it all up. Thanks for the great effort. Chris.
(is this the cause of your outbreak on face book recently?)
