We had to take a ferry over the bay. First time I ferried me and my car. Together. We headed to port Angeles, where we booked a private room at the only hostel in town. Thor Town Hostel is a big, red barn looking, house that's run by a really nice family. They're daughter was seven, very cute and had two ducks that followed her around the front yard. She would bend down and hugged both ducks on either side, like a little duck head-lock, all while the ducks are quacking away. How
cute is that?! The house has, what I'm copyrighting right now as, "constant project syndrome". There are things everywhere and many things to be done. I got to help dry-wall. ....Really. It's was a fun house with many colorful characters.

We started with a hike through the rain forest, while it was raining. We found a public hot spring and I finally, for the first time, got to experience a natural hot spring. After another hike through the rainforest, we finally got to the west coast. I was overwhelmed with emotion and memories. The pacific ocean is such a unique body of water. The way it smells and sounds. Tami said it was like a woman; moody and beautiful and you can underestimate her. And if you do, she will beat you down with a salty punch. I didn't realize how much I missed her until I found her again. Tami and I had a feast of crab legs and such later that night, while we chatted with other hostelers. By this time, Tami and I had found a wonderful rhythm to our travels. We were both very emotional about her leaving the next day. Our time in Olympic park was bitter sweet and I feel our souls will be drawn to this area of the world again one day.
