A long and fairly boring drive turned into an exciting dash from one thunderstorm to the next. I wasn't quite sure where I would be staying or what I would be doing, but by the end of my time in Minneapolis, I felt I accomplished something great. I didn't hit the bar/club scene and I didn't see a bunch of theater. Just one play at the historical Guthrie theater. A charming and funny play, preformed by a great cast in one of the newest and most unusual theaters.

Beyond that, I found myself having a wonderful time visiting with some old family friends. Chrissy met my dad in another century and they stayed close ever since. She, and her husband Paul, could not have been better hosts and more loving friends. It was really great to spend time with them.  And getting to know Chrissy, hearing stories about my dad, and meeting her daughter and grandson. Josh, Chrissy's grandson is a very special boy and I had a great time playing with him and getting to know Michele, his mom. Within a day I felt like I had a second home in Minneapolis. I was so comfortable, I stayed an extra day and flew kites with Josh. Chrissy is an old gypsy and I loved hearing her stories about show business and actors I've never heard of and shows I've never seen. I can really see how her and my dad got along when they were younger and working on their careers. The city itself was very nice and I know I missed some really great things to do, but I'll go back and stay with Chrissy and Paul again, and feel like I've come home
