At this point, I'm what is affectionately known as a Bonnaveteran. This was my 6th year going and 2nd year working. I never know how the week will play out and this year was no exception. It started in Marietta of all places, where I picked up a fellow pre-fest volunteer who needed a ride up to Manchester (where the festival is located). Brain and I got along great immediately and I ended up camping with his awesome friends all week. Our camp quickly became a social center and we had dozens of people stopping by all the time to visit or take a break from the party. By a stroke of luck, I was assigned to the Art Department for all my shifts
By Tuesday night, my wonderful friend Corinne came in to work as well and ended up helping me with the art piece. She's a fantastic artist and together, we completed the piece just in time to hang it. I made some good connections with the art people and I know they appreciated our work and professionalism.
On to the party:
just to name a few
Along with the Art of Such and Such, enormous fountains, a ferris-wheel, tons of food and shops.... a great time was had by all. We made some great friends and to top it off, the weather was perfect.
If you have ever wanted to go to the biggest party in the counrty, and you're of age, Bonnaroo is a must do.
I'm back in Roswell, GA right now finishing some things but I head out this afternoon to Mammoth Caves and then onto Chicago. If I remember anything else of importance about Bonnaroo, I'll update this posting. Till then, I'm hitting the road.
