Were in the Czech Republic capital, Prague.
We spent another day in Salzburg and met up with the local couchsurfers. We had a few drinks on top of a hill overlooking the old city centre and then watched the soccer with 10000 screaming fans. The game wasn't great and Spain ended up winning (most people were cheering for Germany). Afterwards we hung out around town and tried some local sausages (Austrian street meat). The next day after a shaky start we left Austria and drove along the winding countryside into the Czech republic. There was a noticeable difference in architecture, the people and of course the prices. We went to the city of Plzen which was where the first Pilsener was ever brewed. We walked around the town and booked a tour of the brewery for the next day. That night we parked in the street and had an early one. In the morning we found a little lake where we could have our daily bath and shave. We did the brewery tour which was interesting and chatted with the other tourists. Two girls that were from the states joined us for a beer afterwards. Around 3pm we finally got into gear and drove to Prague which was surprising quick and without a hitch. After parking in Prague we walked around looking at the beautiful city. The detail in many of the churches and important buildings is second to none as far as I have seen in Europe and the more that you explore this city on foot the more it seems to grow on you. We had another quite night after having a beer and listening to a local live musician.
Wednesday was origin day so we found a pub that was showing the game and got there for the pre game wrap. Matty and I were pumped and so were the Queensland scmucks next to us. The blues ended up putting on a good performance and really should have ran away with it. Halfway through the game two mates I met in El Salvador (Benny and Maxi) just happened to walk into the bar. It really is a small world and it was great to see the guys again. We all had a few beers over lunch and walked around Prague castle. We walked around town and decided to take one of the pub crawls later that night. The pub crawl was awesome, the guides went out of their way to make sure you were drunk and having a good time. We met lots of tourists and got to sample the Prague nightlife. We woke up this morning in a heat wave. Our sleeping quarters was at an all time high this morning and we both woke up sore and hungover. Writing this entry was up there with chewing glass but I got there. We are heading to Dresden in Germany this afternoon.
Take care all and drop me a line.

ohh dude,
sounds like your having a top laugh,. im heading to prague early september, a few other places as well. we were initially hoping to drive by van from england, throwing some mattresses in the back and roughing it the same like. we found some cheap flights we couldnt resist though.
next time im definitely looking to head out by van. hope you dont mind if i ask what the average costs of fuel are like. there pretty high in england didnt know if they were the same or cheaper. ide love the freedom to go for as long, and anywhere that i liked.
have a good one! keep it up!
