Entering Ngorogoroe Crater is like entering an unfenced zoo. Animals of all kind are entrapped within the walls of the extinct volcano. Almost every animal that people associate with Africa live there, except giraffe that find the steep rim walls too steep for them to enter.

Its interesting how things are done in other countries. An example of this is what we did when we were bogged in a mud hole several meters from a male Lion. Normally its a case of getting some form of tow rope and pulling the bogged vehicle out. That's all well and good normally but when there is a lion only 10 meters away other measures are needed. In this case a not so gentle nudge from another safari vehicle is what's called for. One BANG and we were out.
Once again the Crater dishes up all the best that Africa has to offer
