Okay I have a few more minutes this morning to fill in some stuff I missed on the last couple of travelogues. It ain't gonna be eloquent though.

Best place to meet a celebrity - Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in the new Venetian Casino in las Vegas. Where else could you run into Gerard Depardieu and Little Richard in the same building?

Best place to view the rise of the Harvest Moon - The top of the 109 storey Stratosphere tower in Las Vegas.

Boldest wild animal - the Coyote. These guys think nothing of wandering into your campsite or out onto the road to watch your car go by. Their facial expression can best be described as contempt.

The 5 interesting things about myself that I submitted to the Jeopardy people...
1. The big car trip (like duh?)
2. I once ate a 3 foot long submarine sandwich in 24 minutes.
3. I own the world's greatest hat.
4. I published an online newsletter called Crap On-Line.
5. I am the lyricist for a death metal band called Morbid Head.

World's largest burrito - The Super Macho Burrito inside the Piazza food fair at Caesar's Palace.

Most intimidating place for a Canadian to be - The Gun Store in Las Vegas

Best place to view a sunrise at the Grand Canyon - Yavapai Point

Best closest hostel to the Grand Canyon - The Grand Canyon Hostel in downtown Flagstaff. This place is pretty nice and very very clean. Unfortunately, it's less than a block from the train station and they roar through town all night long.

Funniest book I've read this trip - "No One May Ever Have This Knowledge Again." This is actually a companion to a museum exhibit of the same name at The Museum of Jurassic Technology in LA. Between the two world wars the Mount Wilson Observatory in Pasadena became reknowned for its work, primarily by Edwin Hubble. It received many letters from "amateur scientists" (i.e. crackpots) who wished to share their own calculations. There are some priceless faulty logic and misconceptions in these letters that'll make you howl. My favourite is from the guy who thought the big killer laser beams seen in sci-fi movies actually existed and he suggested pointing them at the planets to help light them up for mapping purposes. Then their is also the guy who tried to prove that the sun revolved around the earth and the earth revolved around the north star.

Okay, now I'm moving on. As far as future plans go I'm going to lazily make my way through Arizona and New Mexico and I hope to arrive in Dallas for the Cowboys/Packers football game on November 14th. Today I'm going to tour Sedona and Jerome on my way down to Phoenix. It appears to be another gorgeous day. I haven't seen rain in over 4 weeks.
