We took the subway into Boston...our first adventure. Took a trolley tour around the city. I would not take that again, we'll give it a C. We took a tour of Fenway Park and the Monster wall. Very Cool! The best seats in the park are behind the wall!!!
Took the subway into Boston again. This time we walked the Freedom Trail with a guide. This is a must!!! WoW! Our children thought it was wonderful! We stopped and had a great italian lunch in the Northern Park of town, just off the Freedom Trail. We also went to a italian deli and got a few of our favorites. We finished the freedom trail on our own and stopped at Old Ironside and took a tour of that, this was great too
Lexington and Concord
We walked the path that Paul Revere took from Lextington to Concord. We saw the Tavern that he stopped in and where he was captured. At the Minute Man Visitors center is an incredible video about the happenings of April 19,1775, the first shot and all! A must to see. We also went to Concord and saw the North Bridge and the Minute Man statue. Also in Concord are the house and burial sights of great authors such a s Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne. Concord is a beautiful city.
