We Super Ate Ourselves Into Oblivion

. If we ever get out of Iola, they'll have to roll me out of the less-than-Super-8.
We found a church today, that helps. People are kind, but I think they think we are nuts. After being held up here for so long, they may have reason to be leery of us. People here are praying for sunshine. I've never been in a church where they prayed for sun. Always they pray for rain in our neck of the woods.
Scotty found this quote, it is very apropos for the trip. "We don't pretend to know the unfailing secret of success, but there are times when we fear it may have something to do with hard work."
I like the cow one attached. Hee hee
We have been stuck in Iola, Kansas since Wednesday. Rain, cold, rain, cold, wind, wind, wind. Scott is one straw from losing it. It is too cold to go out. We are eating everything from our packs. We are not exercising, hence the "we super ate ourselves..." Oblivion, from the movie. We have gone to movies, (42 and Oblivion), thank goodness there is a movie house next door. But, somehow the popcorn can't even keep him calm. This was a classic 6-screen theatre on the edge of town. Apparently, not many people are trying to get out of the weather by going to the matinee. The usher/manager was a classic. He was fully dressed in suit and tie and treated us as if we were the most important people that had ever arrived. He was so professional, maybe even a bit officious, but not in a negative manner. I tried to make him laugh with the absurdity of us being the only customers and being treated as if we were part of the hoards that were arriving, but to little avail. Since we spent several hours there it was cool that there were unlimited refills of soda and popcorn for the entire day
