Today Contiki offered a complimentary drive back to London (or a dropoff at the airport in Amsterdam). Veronica and Jane were leaving early to go to the airport. We said our goodbyes, and then I went down for breakfast at 7:15. We left at 7:45 and dropped some people off at the airport. Then we drove for a couple hours until we got to a rest stop in Belgium. I bought a chicken sandwich.

Then we drove to Calais to get the P&O ferry back to Dover. We missed the first ferry and had to kill time on the bus until the next one. I got a lot of sleep to make up for the night before. On the ferry, I had fish and chips for a late lunch/early dinner. It was really good, but I couldn't finish it all.

When we got to Dover, we drove for about an hour and a half until we got to London. I said bye to the rest of my friends from the tour and then checked in to the hotel. I had no plans and was just going to go to bed early, but then Lee invited me to go to dinner with him instead. I met Lee during my Contiki tour in Australia, and he lives in London. He's pretty much my best friend in the whole world. We had planned to meet the next day, so it was such a pleasant surprise to get to see him a day earlier than I expected!

We wandered around for a while before deciding on TGI Fridays. I had chicken alfredo, which was pretty good. Then he walked me back to my hotel, and I went to bed. Right before I fell asleep, my roommate (I think her name was Jess, from Australia) got in, so it was like perfect timing.
