May 11 2010 Several days ago I arrived at my only son's home in San Diego CA. He was standing outside his apt waving me in what a site. I was so glad to arrive for some rest and recreation with him. He is the only one of my 3 children that does not live in the same town with me and I miss him soo much. I have been missing my entire family during this trip as it is the first time that I can remember being away from them this long. I also miss my home in Texas and my friends there. So first he insists on cooking me dinner. Grilled and blackened fresh caught fish. Yummy, asparagus, rice and salad. All so good. Next we watch a fire works display out the window over the Bay that he had special ordered for me. Just kidding. There really were fire works but not special ordered. Then a movie and to bed for some much needed rest. Next day is Sunday and I am off to church for Mass. Greg actually said he was thinking about going with me and I said wow my prayers have been answered. I asked him if he thought God was nudging him and he said no I just thought I'd do it for you. I told him not to do it for me only for God and so he decided to do some exercise instead. The rest of the day we just sort of caught up on things and then we went out for the most fabulous dinner I have ever been taken to with pictures to follow of each course. Wine to accompany each course. Amazing. This all took place at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Pictures to follow. Then home to bed and then stayed an extra day so he could take me out to lunch and dinner and site seeing. Great times and great food. Pictures of the memorial site at Point Loma follow. We watched another movie and then to bed and up this am to leave for Tucson so here I am. I have decided to drive up to Ruidoso New Mexico to visit some friends and then will return home. Please forgive the titles I give to some of my pictures. This site insists that you name your pictures in order to upload them to it and you can hardly see them when you are naming them which reminds me everyone reading this. If you click on a picture it will increase the size and then you keep clicking next and you can see all the pictures enlarged. They look much better that way. Except for the ones of me those look worse, you can see all the wrinkles and all the new ones this trip has caused during times of stress along mountain roads with wind and snow trying to over take me. Well good night to all and Blessings to all reading this, Bonnie

Looks like the best stop on the whole trip to me! I had such a good time having you visit. I am so happy you took this trip and cant wait to see you back in Austin in a few weeks. Love you!

The pictures of the ocean are beautiful, especially nice with the rock formation.

Has to be very peaceful being there listening to the sound of the ocean.

Looks like San Diego is a nice place, bright and colorful.

Sounds like you had a great time with your son, and the food looked reallll good

Great trip

Well, now I am worried, you haven't written a comment on your travelpod for a few days, hopefully it is only your computer that is down.

Let me know, a concerned friend

Hi Don, I guess you don't read your e-mail. I have written to you to let you know it is the computer. It stops in the middle of a blog posting and I cannot get it to come back up. Hope you get this message.

I didn't see any ghosts in the background. The Hotel is known for their mysterious visitors.
But it looks like you had a great dinner. Greg is spoiling you!
