April 27,2010 woke up at 0600 nice hot cup of coffee, read my bible, post my status, pack my car, strip and remake my bed and I am off to Lauds, wonderful time with the sisters. They gave me a blessing as I left to continue with my travels. It made me cry. They are so kind. 0900 left and now on my way to the North entrance of Yellowstone because the East entrance is closed. This will take me into Montana which was not on my travel plan and I can't figure out how to change it. So I won't. Montana is very pretty as have all the areas I have traveled. Lots of rolling hills with various shades of brown, and greens again like an oil painting but that would not do it justice. Soon I begin to see huge mountains off in a distance. I wanted to sing "Oh Beautiful, for spacious ski's no waving grain but lots of purple mountain majesty. Traveling along the highways is like going to an art show but the art is real. I finally reach my destination without any problems and enter and talk to the park ranger who told me that due to snow expected the west entrance, which is where I was going to exit to stay in Idaho Falls, is closed and may not even open tomorrow. The good news was that because I am over 62 and who would know, I get a $10.00 pass good for a year to any National park. Wow, I thought it was going to be $25.00 for one day. He suggested that I go in as far as Mammoth and hot springs and then come back out and drive North and then south around the park to reach my destination. I did as he suggested and the pictures will follow. As I turned around to head back out the same way I came in it began to snow. I wondered how long a trip it would be to go as he suggested. I had only one hour to decide what to do. So I drove one hour and right in front of me was a Super 8 same motel I had booked in Idaho Falls but this was in Montana so I stopped and asked how far it was to Idaho Falls Super 8 and it was 250miles so changed my plans and canceled the reservation in Idaho Falls and am spending the night in Montana and will figure out the rest tomorrow. The spring snow has me concerned but I will figure it out, too tired to think about it tonight. Went out to dinner at a very expensive Italian restaurant. Treated myself to a glass of wine and Chicken Parmesan on a bed of pasta with a side salad. Very tasty and elegant. Next come the pictures and then read and off to sleep. Hope everyone is doing well with all your individual struggles, know that I and many others have been praying intently for you. Bye for now

Sounds like your having a wonderful trip. Too bad you couldn't get to Idaho
Falls. Lived there when Adrienne, my oldest daughter was born. Dave and I will be going through there late July or early August on our big trip. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
