OK, this is our first visit to the time share.  It's really nice, with several amenities.  Check in wasn't until 5pm so our first day was pretty much just get here, unpack & spend an hour or so at the pool. One gentleman we met here has been coming for 20 years & gave us some tips on how to avoid the crowds and where to go that's a little off the beaten path.  We took advantage of that today, starting off down a place called Nature Trail Road (maybe some of you know it?) and it was a pretty ride.  There are several pull offs and one place in particular that we went today was the old Ogle Homestead.  Really nice place, so we took off down one of the nature trails and it was beautiful.  Got some really good shots.  Tim joined me in taking pictures this time, using the macro lens, and got some really good shots.  And I know ya'll have heard him complaining that I never keep the phone off while I'm on vacation, but I have proof here that I'm not the only one.
We were on the trail & some folks said a mama and baby bear were seen by the cars and since we had the top down and open cold drinks in the car, we thought maybe we should head back up there to let the top up and get the tripod
In usual 'us' style, (ok this was totally my fault) we had an odd adventure.  We headed back to the car, to get the tripod & I went to reach for the keys in my pocket...guess what?  I locked them in the trunk.  And did I mention the top was down.  And it started to sprinkle.  Guess what?  You can't take the back seat out or anything. So we called Triple A & they called a locksmith (Trapper, if I could get to my phone which was also in the trunk I would have called ya :)  ).  So Tim told me to go back to the 1800's cabin & just chill until the locksmith came.  On the way back to the cabin I just thought I'd check ALL my pockets one more time....guess what?  I remembered to put the keys in a little side pocket of my shorts before I put my purse in the finally got in touch with the locksmith and called it off.  Just a reminder that blonde is a state of mind, and NOT a hair color.  And a good reminder for poor Timmy Ray that when I get in panic mode, I freak until I can slow down and think.  I jump to the worst possible scenario as soon as possible.  I can't help's in my genes (ain't that right Mom?),  Anyway, it turned out well after all, we shot some more pictures, then finished the drive to wander around Gatlinburg a little.  A little later, back at the time share, I ended up walking into someone else's unit cause I got turned around when I came up the stairs.  We hadn't met them yet.  Fortunately, they seemed really nice.  The did lock the door as soon as I backed out, apologizing profusely.  Maybe that second mojito wasn't such a good idea....
Tomorrow we'll either hang at the pool, go to Dollywood or check out this waterfall we found out about where we can walk behind it.  Can't wait to get some shots there!  Stay tuned....
