The second challenge of my trip came from Erik, and I must say it was a good one, in different ways. It was not too easy, and without this challenge I would not have experienced the hospitality of a nomadic family that had never had any tourist set foot in their ger before. Also, we went to the yak by horse, and within an hour I was riding the horse on my own! Yes, I'm very proud of that. So in fact I beat two challenges that day, since I have always been a bit scared of horses. Also, after 40 kilometers on a horse not only my muscles were soar, but also my bum missed skin in some parts. Ouch! So, even though I may have cheated a little on my first challenge, I think I made up with this second one.
Check out the pictures, the first two were taken on my way to the, the last two, well, they speak for themselves.. The yak was more scared than I was..

Now, I'm in short supply of challenges. I'll be in China soon, so if you want to send a challenge, be quick to think one up!

Russia: Jeroen came up with the brilliant idea to send me to the red square in Moscow with the self-inflatable mattress i got from my dear colleagues, and have my picture taken lounging on my mattress wearing a Russian hat. Beat that!
Mongolia: Erik requests a picture of me on a yak! I am more than happy to get this task replaced by a less challenging one!
South-Korea: Ton knows how much I love soccer (read the sarcastic tone in this line please) so he wants me to play with a soccer ball wearing a PSV shirt of Ji-Sung Park!!! Alright, I guess I will need help here..
Thailand: Edwin wants me to toast on him while watching sunset on a beach on the western part of Thailand. Must admit this reflects Edwin's romantic character.
Laos: Well, Nancy changed her mind on her challenge, and the little tease she is, she wants me to take a picture of a big spider in its web.. from up close. Yikes! She knows spiders scare the hell out of me, so even though this may not seem to be very challenging to some of you, it does to me! Somehow I hope I will skip Laos on my journey, that would be a nice excuse..
Cambodia: What can a person do in Cambodia? Ever wondered? Well, of course you can rent a bike and drive around, trying to avoid the thousands of land mines, which is a challenge in itself. But there are far cooler things to rent there.. So, Vincent wants me to rent.... a bazooka.. A BAZOOKA!!! and shoot a cow.. OK, I can see the grin on your faces. I'm NOT going to shoot a cow, though that might provide a nice evening meal, but I will shoot a mosquito or two with a bazooka!!
Thailand: Somehow Thailand is quite popular with you guys, or is it easy to come up with ideas for Thailand? Whatever the reason, I planned to go to Thailand twice, so I might as well take on two challenges. Ok, to be honest, I don't want to discard Edwins challenge, and really love Wibo's, so my double visit to Thailand is just an excuse. Wibo wants me to go to a full moon party in Thailand and request an album track from the DJ.. which one? The Promised Land by Joe Smooth. Music is our (Wibo's and mine) common interest, so this is not only a fun challenge to me, it is also a reflection of our friendship. Thanks, Wibo.
Indonesia: Chantal is partly Indonesian by origin, so her request is to have me find a person with her family name, Snackey, and take a picture of this person, who might be a relative!! I am curious how difficult or easy this task will be..

Wow. I love the idea of your challenges! I've got to try that next time I head off somewhere!

About your Laos challenge, I haven't read anywhere if you did it... but I have a couple up-close spider pics, oddly enough, taken in Vang Vieng. I know it's after the fact and kind of cheating, but if you're interested, I'll put them up!
