Alright ya mado´s
Made it up to "gorgeous Guanajuato" at last and have started Spanish lessons at the language school. Not doing too well right enough! Maybe sommit to do with all the Mexican parties I keep ending up at.... Picked up enough to survive though which is all that counts. The city is a really nice old colonial chunk of Spain, with loads of plazas n nice buildings n sh1t. The impossible topography of the city meant they had to turn the silver mines under the city into it's street's! So now the winding old network of silver mines make up a bizzarre subterranean one-way system!

Last night got invited to this traditional Mexican dance, their version of a celidh really, except 10 times more folk and 20 times more noise! Have met this great group of Mexican students (there's a huge uni here) they´ve had me out every night, at house parties and in the town square which just seems like a constant fiesta. The people are so open and friendly.
The heat is unreal, the hottest May in Mexico for 130 years so I´m told!! 42 degrees today and thats at over 2000m, further north folk have been dying and sh1t cos of the heat - over 50 degrees C!! If you can´t find some shade, you get frazzled! Plus I´ve got to walk half way up a mountain to get to my family´s villa, so I´m knackered all the time. The family is really nice though, "no speakee ingles" but lovely food and beautiful "Casa blanca" overlooking the city.
It´s the "Holiday of the teacher" today and there´s yet another fiesta (God knows what they do at weekends!) at the school for all the teachers, who by the way, are all gorgeous young latinos............... :)
