Hola amigos!

Arrived safe and sound in MEH-hee-ko City
last night at 6pm local time, 6 hours later in my head though. In my jet-lagged state, I even managed to negociate the hectic metro system from the aiport into the city centre with 5 changeovers - without getting lost! That was just using the Spanish I learnt in the CD's during the flight! Went for a few bevs with some Kiwi's and have already met some cool folk. I'm even picking up a few more words of Espanol.

Well what can I say about Mexico City, it's the biggest in the world with more than 24 million people and it took us 20 minutes just to fly over the edge of it! Words can't really do it justice but it has to be the biggest, noisiest, craziest, dirtiest, busiest, most mental place I have ever been!! It's feckin' great! If I can dodge the insane traffic, pickpockets and corrupt police, I may even get out of here alive! I'll be heading North tomorrow or Sat, out of the choking smog.

Depends on whether I can get tickets for the football at the "Stadio Azteca", bears Old Trafford into insignificance at 105,000 capacity!

Today went to Teotichucan, to see the "Pyramid of the Sun", "Pyramid of the Moon" and the "Avenue of the dead".

Was very impressive, enormous Aztec ruin, bigger actually than the pyramids in Egypt. These are the ones in the Star Trek and Frida films, really amazing. The heat was unbelievable though. We went up during midday with no shade at all at 2500m. I'm lobstered already!
