Najpierw poranek spedzony na strzelaniu gangway`u, potem dwie godziny wolnego. Co tu robic w dwie godziny? Wyszlismy w czworke - ja, Annie z Chin oraz Ben i Ronnie z Filipin. Wlasnie przejasnialo sie po letniej ulewie. Na glownym deptaku wpadlismy na naszego treningowca od wszystkich szkolen - Alana, oraz jego zone Wendy. Alan poprowadzil ktoregos dnia najlepsze szkolenie z roznic kulturowych, jakie widzialam. Nigdy nie zapomne jego mysli: "Pochodze z Wielkiej Brytanii, jestem bialym Anglikiem, gdy mialem 16 lat, byl to jeden z najbardziej rasistowkich krajow na swiecie. Nikt nie rozumial pojecia "roznice kulturowe". Wiele lat pozniej, jestem ozeniony z Afroamerykanka, mam dwie afro corki, moja siostra jest lesbijka, moj chrzesniak jest malym Filipinczykiem, a moi rodzice mieszkaja na stale w Hiszpanii. I za to wlasnie kocham zycie!". I wlasnie ten szalony czlowiek namowil nas na wycieczke dookola wyspy. Nie tylko nas, ale jeszcze kilku Brazylijczykow z naszego statku, w sumie zupelnie przypadkowo uzbierala sie nas cala gromadka. Utargowalismy 10$ od lebka za godzinna wycieczke wokol wyspy. Antigua ma przepiekne widoki, jest malenka i urocza. Wycieczka w sumie trwala prawie 2h, gdy dobieglam do statku, mialam 8 minut, zeby przebrac sie i dobiec na szoste pietro do galerii. Udalo sie! Antigua byla fantastyczna.
ENGLISH:
Firtly the morning spent in shooting gangway, then 2 hours off. What should I do in those 2 hours? 4 of us went out - me, Annie from China, Ben and ROnnie from Phillipines. The sky was just clearing up after the summer rain shower. In the main side walk we bumped into our training development manager - Alan and his wife - Wendy. Alan had provided the other day the best cultural differences training I`ve ever participated to. I`ll never forget his thought: "I come from the UK, I`m a white English man, when I was 16, England was one of the most racist countries in the world. Nobody would understand "cultural differences" phrase. Many years later, I`m married to an Afroamerican woman, I have 2 Afro daughters, my sister is gay, my God son is a little Philipino boy and my parents live in Spain. And that`s why I love my life!". And that crazy man convinced us to make a trip around the island. Not only us actually, but also some Brazilians from our ship, all in all there was quite a big group of us. We bargained the price of the trip to 10$ each, for 1h of a trip around the island. Antigua has beutiful views, it`s tiny and picturesque. The trip took actually almost 2h, when I got back to the ship, I had literally 8 minutes to change and run to the 6th deck where the gallery is. I made it! Antigua was fantastic.
