POLSKI:
Rano stalismy przez ponad 2h, bezskutecznie probujac cos zatrzymac. Gdy juz calkowicie stracilismy wiare w Grekow, zabral nas... grecki mnich! Potem sie pozegnalismy, bo skrecal do swojego klasztoru w Monastiraki.
ENGLISH:
We`d been standing in the morning for over two hours there, ineffectively trying to stop something. When we were losing our hopes in Greeks, we were taken by... a Greek monk! He drove us to the main road and invited to a lunch at a tavern next to the road (wine, feta cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers). Simply - just like every dweller of this country - he made a siesta (break) for the worst hours of the heat. Then we said goodbye to him as he was turning towards his monastery in Monastiraki. I quickly (this time) stopped a Greek guy, that dropped us off several km further, right next to a beach. it looked like it`d be a good place for a hitchhiking. We spent 1,5h on swimming in the sea, and another 3,5h on trying to stop a car - without any effect. After the sunset we had to reconcile with the fact, that we got stranded. While we were sitting at the beach, I was trying to remove stings from my feet, that I got the night before when trying to have a bath in the stony sea. What a nightmare! We slept under the sky full of stars. It was a day of humility lesson. Hitchhike doesn`t always work as well as in Romania...
