Where I stayed
Ponownie wrocilismy do domu o 4tej nad ranem...
I woke up again at 10am, because I was too hot. On that day we decided to go to a beach. We left yet after 2pm, sitting at Antonio`s home and waiting for the worst hours of heat to pass. We took a kind of city bus, that`s last stop is 1 hour away from Athens. My type of look is pretty exotic here. In the bus there was staring at me a 7-year-old boy, not mentioning a man in the age of my father, who as so brown, that his nails became white
We arrived to the place before 4pm, but the heat was still hard to handle. The water was as warm as a soup, you wouldn`t even want to get out of it. The return journey took us over 1,5 h due to the evening traffic jam. The sun had made us pretty exhausted, but we didn`t have time for a nap after we got back home (about 10pm), as already at 11pm we were supposed to meet up with Malgosia - a Polish girl living in Athens. We went altogether with her to Keramikos district and we were walking from club to club, looking for her friends from CS. Antonio joined us yet after 2pm, because he`d been to another concert. The Greeks are a bit weird. They`re excited to meet up with other couchsurfing.com members, they`ll be sitting in front of the computer all day long and waiting for a post on forum about where are they meeting this evening. CS is awesome when you come to a new place and you don`t know anyone. Then you can have friends straight away. But normally? In my small home town I have so many friends myself, that I wouldn`t really have time to be seeing people from couchsurfing or hospitality club. And here it looks like the Greeks don`t have any other friends but those ones from CS. It`s a bit sad. Besides, me and Marcin agreed that the clubs in Athens aren`t so good. There is no room for dancing and people don't really know how to have fun. And we thought that the entertainment in Greece will be like in Poland but better. We`re gonna have to leave Athens soon. Maybe the province is different?
We got back home again around 4pm...
