A 2 hour bumpy boat ride from Salvador lies the gorgeous little island paradise of Morro de Sao Paulo. It has numerous beaches of varying sizes and busy-ness, some of which completely disappear at high tide, and not a vehicle allowed on the whole island. If you have a heavy bag that needs carrying anywhere a man with a wheel barrow will happily oblige.
Two days of swimming in the sea and natural pools left when the tide goes out, lying on the beach and eating grilled cheese on a stick covered in oregano and honey, and we were ready to return to Salvador for one last night - Big Tuesday!

Just turned on my computer and thought Oh ill just see if theres a blog. How lovely to find four. I cant imagine how much you must be enjoying the flora and fauna and with Tracies knowledge it must be fascinating.
Salvador is Claudios home town (you probably knew that ) it looks so wild but he said that muggings in Brazil are getting much worse and that his family who are middle class ! are scared to go out and live in gated communities.
You must be flying to Heathrow now how odd and then on to India. Next time we speak you will be there how exciting!
Sorry about tummy thing but you have done really well so far.
Be careful in India I am sure you know all the rules.
Tons love xxx
